DUMB WAITERS AT SHOWS

Yep. The shows were good. Sweaty pub stage lights. Erik getting a boiling hotel room. Tanya hanging electronics up in high places. JJD driving a retirement mobile. Comparisons to Lynch and Jadoworski and patio breakfasts downtown.

Video images provided by Severed Heads / Psychedelic Furs / The Tourists / The Smalls / Nat Kavze (Tanya wants to hear their first album called "Switch Complete 1986-1987").

URBAN HI-JACKING
19 July 2007

We've been exhibiting some stealth manoeuvres, claiming city for ourselves. A small wall, protected from OCD "must tear the posters down" types, and out of the reaches of gallons of poster glue "come see MY band", "no come see MYYY band". A little section exists for Primes' show posters, and has since the beginning of June. The exact location is a secret though.... you can find it. And if you do, email us the address and we'll give you a present. Hint - it's in Vancouver.

VINYL MELTS IN THE SUN
15 July 2007

Front yard sale today. Books toasting in the sun. Selling off old singles of mid-nineties hardcore punk memorabilia. Rubber chickens, mod lamps and Christian psych records. Alexander Keiths and Pilsners glinting in the sun. Gold and red spraypaint signs flapping in the wind.

Wake up methods: eat dark chocolate, then have a cold shower, then ride a bike down a hill with no brakes.

On the speakers now: Bauhaus, Nation of Ulysses, John Foxx, Wire, T. Raumschmiere, Primal Scream, Girls Against Boys, Arthur Russell, Autonervous, Zonetech --//

MR. EDISON NO.4
13 July 2007

"there's less time to suck back the sweet nectar / too much time wasted in trying to organize reality, even when it needs it the most / new hands / words for all of this come easier in scrabble / and i've got a real nasty cold / hair colour heroes shut me down / everything is getting stale but no one can pick up the clues 52 / victim of customer server as labelled as the product / white out the light / change is not a virtue but a finished product / there is nothing inside but obvious bullshit / big / bigger / pull the apparent trigger / call the shots from your rising elevator / march on o' fated soldiers / there is nothing left to hide"

- originally written by me in 1996
